Eliza watches on as brother Josiah does the chores in his truck: pick up neighborhood reusable items and sort them into divided bins
Crash! There goes the glass bottles. Today is recycling day. We love recycling for two reasons, 1) that we get rid of all our junk piled up over two weeks, and 2) a big truck with guys comes by to pick it up; we have something to get excited about and watch out our window (this and the mailman). I've been wanting to do a little photo recylcing for a while, as there's a few activities we've been doing lately that we've also done in the past. Some "traditions" if you will. Allow me to explain:
Blackberry Picking
This is our third year blackberry picking: once up near Troy, ID, and twice at Wawawai County Park. We had no idea that the park had so many picnic tables and fruit trees. This time we found a cherry tree, pear tree, apple tree, and of course blackberries. We enjoyed the picnicing area.
Note that I love this picture, and Ben hates it, so its not by his choice its here.
Lentil Festival
We got to go to the National Lentil Festival in 2005 and 2008, but never took photos. Thank goodness the Lentil Festival Committee did (but none with us) and you can see what its all about on their website by clicking on the link. Our favorite thing is standing in line to judge the six lentil recipes up for competition. I'd also like to see Ben go down the inflatable bouncy slide some day.

County Fairs
Also, we went to the Whitman County Fair, for my third time, and Eliza and Ben's second time, and of course Josiah's first. We all went our first time to the Latah County Fair this year, too.
Bishop's Orchard
We went to go press cider at Bishop's Orchard in Garfield, WA. We had a great time with friends Christal, Bryan, and Desmond. We highly recommend it to locals! It tastes so good, so much better than buying it at the store, and they have apples for 25 cents a pound. There's probably a few weeks left in the season to try it out.
Kamiak Butte
We love Kamiak, butte. I've been going since I was 3 thanks to my parents. The older photos we have I'll have to scan in, as it was before we went digital. My dad took Brian, Scott, Trent, Ben, and I up there before we were married. This year we went twice for a service project, once for Eliza's birthday, and twice for our ward camp-out.

Southeastern Idaho
We've been and will visit places such as Nampa, Sugar City, Rexburg, Idaho Falls, Blackfoot, and Logan, in 2005, 2007, 2008, and 2009.
Last, as its almost Halloween, here's a picture of ladybuglet Eliza at 5 mos. just for kicks.

I think blogging was meant to show mothers what would happen to their home if they were to leave their children unattended.
