Happy Anniversary!

We celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary. Erin made me breakfast. I know what you are thinking, kind of backwards, but she told me a week ago that she doesn't like me to make breakfast for her. However, I did make her a fancy dinner.
The traditional gift for a 4th anniversary is flowers. I found some daisies across the street for Erin.

CAMPING

A couple weeks ago we went camping at Mary Minerva McCroskey State Park near Plummer, ID. We did some hiking, mountain biking, and roasted some 'mallows. It was Josiah's first campout. The first few minutes we were there, we caught Josiah eating elk feces, yummy!!

Sightings of wild animals

We spotted some wildlife from our tent. What a beautiful animal!

One wild creature managed to get inside our tent.

Wild Flowers

We spotted lots of wild flowers on our campout.

More Wild Flowers

But my favorite wild flower is....

Summer Break (narrated by Ben)

On the last day of the semester, I was excited for the summer break ahead. But, I think Erin was even more excited than I was because her first words were "now you watch the kids and clean house and cook dinner everyday!" You may ask yourself, what Erin is going to be doing, well, in her own words again "whatever I want to do!"
While I am at it, I guess I will take over the blog for her as well.

Hiking Kamiak Butte

Eric, a friend of ours from Boston, visited with us while he was on his way to Seattle. We all hiked Kamiak Butte and enjoyed the scenery of the palouse.

Sledding

We had a snowstorm pass through our town a week or two ago, and we decided to be out in it. It was crazy! These photos are in reverse order, so notice that my chid'ren get progressively less snowy.

Here's our Spring Break. How was yours?

Cowgirl and cowboy

Its nice when you have museums close to your home. This is the Appalousa horse club museum, free, with suggested donation. There's centers for kids to learn how to tie knots, and braid horse hair, and color at the table on their saddles. Here they are, saddled up:

We had some beautiful days outdoors last week. Eliza has begun riding a tricycle by herself! So, it takes being 2 1/2.
